My parents and I are close (I'm an only child), but I've been buying my own clothes (with a few exceptions) since I started working at seventeen. But this last week has been trying, I just get frustrated when they pull this stuff. If I'd known that they were only offering because I hadn't started earning money from my job, I wouldn't have taken them up on it.
