Season 7 Finale Comment Fic Meme for Both Boys.

Photobucket

Here's the embed box. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] rainylemons for her help. Go forth and advertise!!

Okay, this came about because I saw an ad for a H/C comment fic meme, but it was only for Dean, which hardly seems fair to me. What about Sam? He's stuck trying to stop the remaining Leviathan alone and doesn't know how to help his brother. Dean is stuck in Purgatory and worrying about his brother.

So, this meme is for both boys. Reunion!Fics, fics about what monsters Dean runs into in Purgatory, maybe fics where he finds their parents or runs into Bobby or whatever you want, but it needs to be about the fallout from the finale last night. Have fun, any question, PM me. Please respect other people's prompts, no flaming or bashing, lovers of both boys welcome.

Master Post

Delusional/Hallucinating Sam by [livejournal.com profile] queerly_it_is An alone Sam is never a good thing, and Sam uses his mental...issues to cope with things. I'm thinking the hallucinations might show up again hardcore, just so he has someone to talk to again.

A world of bonus points if Michael is one of them.

Hyperventilate by[livejournal.com profile] verucasalt123 I would love something where Sam freaks out and hyperventilates once he realizes he really is all alone - and that he has no idea where's Dean, where's Castiel, that he has no one to go to...

I just want sad, desperate Sam not knowing what to do, thank you

Essence by [livejournal.com profile] rokhal Crowley gives the boys his blood while telling them it might not be his. He also specifically tells them not to trust him. Yet, there's no sign that the bone/blood weapon will even work until it does. No sign, at least on screen.

Sam *knows* that the vial contains Crowley's blood. How? He can smell it. All that demon blood drinking before and with Lucifer. It's changed Sam. Write the missing scene where Sam reveals this to Dean.

Untitled by [livejournal.com profile] dontknowmyname Sam can hear Dean's voice in his head, like he's still there
(sorta like Lucifer, but he's talking back and it's keeping him sane

Like, what would Dean say to make me feel better, what's the humor in this situation.

even making a mental note not to - douche up the car- this time

He snaps one day, thinking this is the one time that Dean isn't coming back , maybe Gabrile was right... But should he really let go?

(Gen please)

An Unlikely Partnership by [livejournal.com profile] mollrach13 Sam is not dealing with being alone well. He worries himself into an epic case of the flu (or other illness/condition or your choice). For some reason, it is in Crowley's best interests to take care of him. He does so grudgingly and with much complaint.

Basically: Crowley taking care of sick!Sam.

Sam gives up everything to get Dean out of purgatory. His sanity, his life and pretty much everything he worked so hard to get back, to not go down that road. Sam isn't the same Sam and when he breaks open purgatory with his newly honed abilities it completely drains him, he prepared he was going to die but at least he managed to do something right before he did, he just never counted on his big brother still wanting him around and not giving up on him despite what he's become.

[identity profile] rokhal.livejournal.com 2012-05-20 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
The only way for Sam, who is mostly human except for that-thing-Sam-doesn't-do-anymore, to travel between planes of existence is to be sneaky about it, to blur the lines between life and death and avoid the notice of stronger beings while he slips through the void as a relatively helpless spirit. This is risky for his body and his mind.

To get to the point: Sam uses some combination of drugs, potions, fasting, hypothermia, or sensory deprivation to slip loose from his body, then ends up sneaking around behind the Lovecraftian horrors that populate Purgatory and could probably swallow him in one bite. Naturally, something goes horribly wrong.

Meg's a Lucifer loyalist and was once part of Azazel's inner circle, so she knows more about how Sam's specs and features than pretty much any other demon Sam's likely to meet. She also has some background in witchcraft, hence the incident with the daevas and the anti-exorcism sigil that's still burned into Sam's forearm. So Sam works with her to find a way to locate and retrieve Dean and Castiel. The problem: Sam is stark-terrified of Meg. She keeps trying to get him to ingest strange substances, she really only cares about keeping Crowley from consolidating his power-base in Hell, and Sam just knows she could be Ruby all over again.

Sam is deeply uneasy about his new partner, and Meg tries to soothe his anxiety (which may be an exercise in futility on her part, because Sam's not entirely stupid).

Is anyone else thinking that 2014-verse could still happen? Only with Leviathans being the thing they're all survivalist against instead of Croats?

Cas being all "Don't like conflict." just reminded me of him in that episode. And Dean was well on his way to being the uncaring leader-type, I think.

Sam would be there, of course, and no Chuck, but still. Especially if they're stuck eating anything but processed food.

[identity profile] rokhal.livejournal.com 2012-05-21 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
Sam needs an angel who was around at the creation of Purgatory to tell him what it's made of and how it was built. The most convenient angel is Lucifer -- but Sam's connection to / memory of / trigger for seeing Lucifer got off-loaded into Castiel, who is now missing. If Sam wants to mine Lucifer for information, he's going to have to fix that. He's going to have to break what Castiel fixed.

Prompt: You come to my senses.

[identity profile] lilithrain.livejournal.com 2012-05-21 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Sam gets lost in Purgatory and may or may not be about to loose his senses when someone familar is standing before him. Ellen.

Ellen looks at Sam, then pulls him close like thier mother would and is very material for Sam, who breaks down in her arms.

I had to come to this too. I love Dean but I love Sammy too. Plus I'm listening to Chicago for some of these prompts.

Dean and Cas do kind-of okay while in Purgatory. They had each other's support while there. But when they get back (under their own power) they have trouble finding Sam. When they find him though...

Sam is in a psych ward again.

It seems the trauma of losing Dean again, this time with no support to speak of, has been too much for him. He suffered a severe breakdown, was taken by the police and somehow his previous time in hospital (7.17) came to light and he got committed again.

Dean and Cas need to convince him it's really them, and then take care of him through the issues this has caused (a fear of being alone, not wanting to let either of them - particularly Dean - out of his sight).

I'd love Sam/Dean/Cas threesome but will take any combination, as well as gen.

[identity profile] mollrach13.livejournal.com 2012-05-21 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Sam works his butt off getting Dean and Cas back from purgatory, making sure Leviathans don't eat everyone and saving KEvin from Crowleys clutches.

When Dean and Cas get back they are OK but have been surviving and fighting together in the woods of purgatory alone for a few months and have become a cohesive unit.

Sam suddenly doesn't know where he belongs anymore...

(Would love for Dean to smack him on the head and tell him not to be an idiot, of course he is needed but if you want to, leave it unresolved)

I promise to write something for a few prompts, cause I like to, but here's another prompt for y'all.

After six months, Sam has officially gone crazy. Not only does he hear and see Lucifer, but he can hear and see everyone else he's cared about -- his mom, dad, Jess, Madison, everyone. So when the ghostly spirit of his Dad shows up -- for real -- Sam has a hard time believing it. After many tries, and John learning about everything that's gone on since he's died, he reveals he can help Sam get Dean out of purgatory, but Sam will somehow have to die himself to do so.

Does Sam take it(he should!) and when he finds Dean, have a cue of reunion hugs between everybody (maybe Mary found Dean in Purgatory?) and Dean being upset because Sammy isn't exactly alive.

Wincest or Gen is fine.

[identity profile] khakigrrl.livejournal.com 2012-05-21 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Sam can't bear to leave the Impala unrepaired, and he can't bear to leave it behind when it feels like he's all alone in the world. Still, there was a reason the boys weren't driving it.

Give me hunted!Sam.

[identity profile] khakigrrl.livejournal.com 2012-05-21 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Hunting without a partner is dangerous. Sam tries to take care of an injury by himself and ends up feverish, alone, and in trouble. He suffers fever dreams and hallucinations.

What the heck are the CDC and FDA going to do with all the brain-damaged corn-syrup stoners scattered around the US? Will the Corn Industry lose its unfathomable lobbying power? Will there be mass riots and superstitious burning of packaged foods? Will anyone even manage to correctly link the mind-altering additive to SucroCorp syrup? Will the American psyche be irrevocably damaged? What about international trade? Is this the end of the Western World as we know it?

Um. SPN characters would also be involved. I guess.

Meg POV on Powers, Driven Sam

[identity profile] brokenangel6662.livejournal.com 2012-05-22 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
From Meg's POV. After she's been captured by Leviathan/Demons for a while, Sam Winchester busts in, calm and collected as she's ever seen, and slaughters everything in the room but her. And some of the things he killed, she really doesn't think he even touched.

"Get up. We're leaving."

She does.

Sam busts open purgatory and team free will fights their way out

[identity profile] brokenangel6662.livejournal.com 2012-05-22 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Gen preferred. Sam slices open Purgatory, but the three of them still have to fight their way out. Dean's a bit in the dark because Cas seems as grounded as he ever was and Sam's taking down everything they run across, sans demon blood. And the way Sam and Cas move when they fight, still fighting with Dean, but flowing with each other, like they can read one anothers minds...

[identity profile] leah-elisabeth.livejournal.com 2012-05-22 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Sam gets desperate and finally he believes his only recourse is to get himself turned by a vampire and then kill himself. He doesn't drink blood and he keeps some of the blood of the vamp that turns him so once he gets out, they can reverse it. However, since he is not fully a monster, he can't fully get into purgatory so he is stuck in between, basically a ghost in both worlds. I would prefer a happy ending, but I don't care how you get there.

The last angels in the universe are hiding in Purgatory.

Hell is too nasty. Earth has the rebel-leader-turned-mad-god Castiel on it, and plenty of angels have died on Earth in the last five years. Heaven is a graveyard. Purgatory is bleak and irrelevant and still holds a few stray Leviathan that didn't make it out the portal, but they're easy enough to avoid, and Purgatory is the one place no one would ever look for an angel.

They don't take kindly to Castiel showing up.

Meanwhile, a farmhand watches a strange man in a trenchcoat and white scrubs whisper intently to a hog before dropping it with a brief touch to its forehead, then vanish, taking a ham with him.

[livejournal.com profile] mad_server from [livejournal.com profile] hoodie_time sent me, with this prompt:

Crowley (or, possibly, Meg) tricks Sam into drinking demon blood (as in, Sam doesn't know that's what he's doing until after he's done it) so he can go into Purgatory for Dean. (handwave the Leviathans however you want.) He goes, he gets Dean and Castiel, who's used so much of his grace keeping them safe that he has no healing power left. The nature of Purgatory kept Dean's alcohol withdrawal in abeyance, but when Sam brings him back, it all hits him at once--it's so bad he nearly dies. Sam knows he can't help Dean if he's going through withdrawal himself, so he has to keep drinking demon blood. (Crowley, or maybe Meg, no doubt convinces him of this.) Once he's over the withdrawal, Dean figures out what's going on with Sam and is horrified and guiiiiiiiiiiiilty. And really pissed off with Crowley. Dean and Castiel have to get Sam off the demon blood. They find somewhere to lock him in, but they have to listen to him screaming. Aaaaaaaaaaaagnst and self-loathing for Dean, and possibly flashbacks to Hell for both of them, and Cas can't do much to help, but whatever he offers, Dean refuses it because it's ALL HIS FAULT. And then Sam's all better and there are hugs and puppies. And maybe crying. But definitely hugs.

[identity profile] rbmi-fan.livejournal.com 2012-05-24 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
During the finale, Sam is having a hard time with something. Maybe the pressure of beating the Leviathans is getting to him. Maybe he's worried about Dean. Maybe he's just having a bad morning. He blows up at Cas. Cas, in his infinite and now slightly-off wisdom, deduces that Sam requires some comfort. What he does is up to you, but Sam is both bemused and deeply touched. Can be gen or Sam/Cas - just nothing explicit.

[identity profile] phx69.livejournal.com 2012-05-25 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I hated the ender because all the worry and concern in the fandom seems to be for Dean (and Cas, blech) so I would love to see some very Worried Dean/protective big brother about Sam and what might be happening to him.

After all Dean has no idea what happened to his brother when he woke up in Purgatory - is Sam still even alive? it is this determination and need to get back to his brother that gives Dean what he needs to survive, get out of Purgatory and go find his brother.

I would love Dean coming back in time to save Sam or something unexpected like that, after all Sam has no back up. Dean, at least has Cas.

Still not together

So I think this has enough angst to fit in this meme:
Sam finds a way to rescue Dean from Purgatory. The problem? The spell/ritual won't return Dean to Earth, it will send him to Heaven- for good. How will Dean feel about this? Can Sam promise to continue without Dean, or will he join his brother?

(Crowley said Purgatory is Hell adjacent, so I am claiming it is Heaven adjacent also, as an inbetween. )

Dresden Files crossover

(Anonymous) 2012-06-12 10:20 am (UTC)(link)
So let's say that Purgatory is actually a part of the Nevernever. Thus, Dean and Cas not only have to deal with monsters, they have to deal with wyldfae and the Winter and Summer Courts. And word gets around about the Winchesters and their angel, so the moment someone hears that one of the Winchester boys and the angel is in town, it's pretty Dean and Castiel Season in Purgatory.

Meanwhile, Sam? Is busy looking for a way to get Dean and Cas out of Purgatory and deal with the Leviathan problem. Unfortunately, he's not having much success, so he turns to the only wizard in the phonebook for help (or, if post-Ghost Story, the Winter Knight). He's expecting a fearsome, scary, no-nonsense man to show up, judging from all the talk about Harry Dresden, but instead gets the wise-cracking, pop-cultured, chivalrously perverted wizard that somehow reminds him of both himself and Dean instead.

So basically? Dean and Cas surviving in Purgatory which happens to be a part of the Nevernever, while Sam and Harry are working to bring down the Leviathans and get them out of there. Pairings are up to you, but I can never resist Harry/Sam, since there's so little of it.
