I felt the same way when I turned 30 and was still single (and it still feels pretty crummy that I'm going to be 35 in a few months and in the middle of divorce... *sigh*). Sorry to hear Thanksgiving was depressing. :( *hugs*

I can relate, sorta. I've been a Catholic all my life. When I was in my last year of high school I stopped attending church regularly and all through college and into my 20s and early 30s, I only attended on Christmas and Easter. That was also due to the particular parish I belonged to. They just drove me nuts, it's kinda hard to explain. Not so much about their beliefs (I'm more on the conservative/libertarian side *ducks*, and I am a scientist so I don't believe evolution is a hoax or evil or whatever some churches try to teach), but more about the way things were run. After I got married last year and went through hell thanks to my soon-to-be ex, I started going to church again. I went through so much physical and emotional stress, it made me feel better to go and I just felt more at peace. I've learned more about who I am and now that I'm back home with my parents, I'm back in my old parish and things are a lot better than they were over 15 years ago.
