Bad Grandma news

Well, it's official, the family is going to the hospital tomorrow morning to talk to the doctors and to ask Grandma if she wants to have the ventilator taken out. Mom said that she's gonna ask Grandma more than once if it's what she wants and if she does, she'll be put on morphine so that she's comfortable and we're gonna go from there. I'm supposed to be letting the cable guy in so he can hook up some HD cable boxes, but I'm hoping to get that done before Mom goes to the hospital so I can say goodbye. *sighs* I hate this, I hate that I might not get to see her before she goes, she's my grandma, she taught me how to bake cookies and read me stories and told me about growing up during WWII and encouraged me to be creative and I might not get to tell her goodbye. I didn't get to tell my maternal grandfather goodbye because I was too young to be allowed back in the room and I didn't get to tell my paternal grandmother goodbye because she lived in another state.

I need a hug.

*hugs you close* I'm sorry sweetie, I wish that I could be there to give you a real hug. I hope that you do get to the hospital in time to see your grandmother. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping like hell that you get to say goodbye to her.

I wish I wasn't going away this week but if my grandmother is still using my mobile, I can borrow it from her and send short emails to you from it (the mobile has it's own email address) if you want me to?
