Bad and some good news in the family and WTF America.

I've hesitated about posting this until I knew something but there's no way around it. My 85 y/o grandmother is more than likely dying. She has congested heart failure and it is causing problems with her kidneys and she's refusing to do dialysis. She's getting shots to make more blood cells but...yeah. That's the uber-bad news.

The good news is that one of my maternal uncles is FINALLY getting a divorce! My uncle Dennis married a lazy b**** twenty something years ago and after they adopted two of my cousin's kids, their marriage went downhill. Finally, he threw her out because he found out that she was mistreating both girls but especially the older one who is WAY smarter than she is. The family's so happy, my aunt went to the bank to take out some money so my mom could file the paperwork to get the divorce started. Two of my uncles have the worst taste in women and we're finally getting rid of one of them.

And for today's 'WTF?!'  moment: President Obama is planning on addressing America's school children and telling them to work on getting good grades and staying in school. But apparently some parents are freaking out and saying that they won't let their kids go to school and saying that they don't want the President talk to their children. WTF America?! This is racism at it's WORST! They didn't do this when the Presidents were white and Republican and their messages were no different. This is beyond outrageous and people should be ashamed of themselves!

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother sweetie, I can't imagine a pain greater then seeing your loved ones suffer. But that's more the reason why you should be enjoying every minute you have with her before it's too late.

I'm wondering if this is the uncle with the wife who had a thing for her husband's brother? Mistreating children is horrible and I'm glad that your uncle finally came to his senses.

As for Obama's speech to children, I'm a little shocked. What are parents saying as their reasons for not wanting the presdient to talk to their children?

Thank you. And even if she went on dialysis, it would only buy her a few more years in the best of circumstances. And my mom said that the people in the video the doctor showed were a lot younger than my grandmother. I don't know what we're gonna do but the consensus seems to be 'If that's what she wants'.

*LOL* No, that's one of my dad's brother's girlfriend that has a thing for another of my dad's brothers. No, the reason for this divorce is that Uncle Dennis got tired of his wife mistreating their adopted daughters and apparently, they're all much happier without the wife around and the girls have said that they don't want the wife back. The night he called my mom to tell her, Mom could hear the girls laughing and playing in the background.

Apparently some parents have convinced themselves that President Obama is trying to indoctrinate and brainwash their children and a bunch of other crap. Even my dad, who is a staunch conservative, thinks that it's stupid and disrespectful to treat the President like that.
