Joe D. Carter died this morning of congestive heart failure at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was 75 years old.
He was born March 9, 1934 in Galatin, Tennessee. He served his country in Korea shortly after the Korean War ended. In 1953, he married Carole Lee Page and together they had six children. He is survived by his six children, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three brothers and a sister and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and the neighborhood of children to whom he was a father substitiute.
Rest in peace, Grandpa, I'm glad you're not sick anymore and I know Grandma is glad you're with her again. You were a good man and you'll be missed.
