When attempting to redeem a gift card online, make sure we're reading AND following the directions correctly BEFORE you have a meltdown and leave me with the clean up.

Here's what happened: I bought an iTunes gift card for myself so I could DL Supernatural Season 5 TV Pass. It was 59.99 so I bought a $50 card and asked my mother to let me borrow her credit card for the other $9.99. I've never DL'd anything from iTunes before and hadn't used a gift card online before. So I go on and attempt to start downloading but since I didn't have an account, I had to set one up before I could get my Season 5. So I enter the info and put in and put the number for the gift card in and it tells me that the number is invalid. I punch the number in again and get the same message after about three tries of this, I'm wigging out and so is my mom because I spent $50 on this piece of plastic that doesn't seem to be working. So I close iTunes and look over the card again to see if it could tell me what was wrong, sure enough, I see what I'd done wrong: I was supposed to click Redeem and THEN start my account *headdesk* It's all done now and I've got all the Season 5 episodes up to now and will get the rest as they air.

I've done things like that before where I missed a minute detail that made the whole operation not work! of course, I realised that after having my emotional breakdown xD
