Okay, this came about because I saw an ad for a H/C comment fic meme, but it was only for Dean, which hardly seems fair to me. What about Sam? He's stuck trying to stop the remaining Leviathan alone and doesn't know how to help his brother. Dean is stuck in Purgatory and worrying about his brother.

So, this meme is for both boys. Reunion!Fics, fics about what monsters Dean runs into in Purgatory, maybe fics where he finds their parents or runs into Bobby or whatever you want, but it needs to be about the fallout from the finale last night. Have fun, any question, PM me. Please respect other people's prompts, no flaming or bashing, lovers of both boys welcome.

Delusional/Hallucinating Sam by queerly_it_is An alone Sam is never a good thing, and Sam uses his mental...issues to cope with things. I'm thinking the hallucinations might show up again hardcore, just so he has someone to talk to again.

Essence by rokhal Crowley gives the boys his blood while telling them it might not be his. He also specifically tells them not to trust him. Yet, there's no sign that the bone/blood weapon will even work until it does. No sign, at least on screen.

Sam *knows* that the vial contains Crowley's blood. How? He can smell it. All that demon blood drinking before and with Lucifer. It's changed Sam. Write the missing scene where Sam reveals this to Dean.

An Unlikely Partnership by mollrach13 Sam is not dealing with being alone well. He worries himself into an epic case of the flu (or other illness/condition or your choice). For some reason, it is in Crowley's best interests to take care of him. He does so grudgingly and with much complaint.

Basically: Crowley taking care of sick!Sam.

There's gotta be some fic of Sam rescuing Dean's car and giving it the TLC he would want to give to Dean.

Sam connecting with Dean through the Impala. Feeling the overwhelming sense of loneliness and yet letting the car remind him that his brother needs him. And strengthening his resolve to find him.

Can totally be Sam/Dean. (come on! The car has to stir up some memories..;D)

Dean's first reaction once Cas disappears is - "Where the Hell is Sam?"

Since Sucracorp is still there, including the Leviathan's poison in the food. Sam has no choice but to fight the remaining Leviathans and their plan on his own. So he goes all terrorist, destroying the sucracorp plant and storage facilities, trying to destroy as much of the poisoned food as possible before it's spread amongst the public.

The cops go after him of course.

Anyway, would love to see him teaming up with others who know the truth and starting a guerrilla campaign against sucracorp and what's left of Roman enterprises now that Dick's gone.

And of course when Dean and Cas finally gets out of Purgatory they find that Sam is public enemy nr one. Dean isn't sure if he should be proud as hell of his little brother, or pissed off about the trouble Sam's gotten himself into. Either way, he has to find him first.

In the past, when Sam was alone, there was stll someone out there he could turn to. Even in the cage, when Lucifer would punish him through isolation, Sam knew he'd be back eventually.

Now, everyone is gone. Sam's got to find Dean and Cas. He's got to stop Sucracorp from exxterminating whole swaths of humans. He's got to find a way to actually kill a Leviathan, let alone all the ones out there. He's got to rescue Kevin and defeat Crowley and find out why he wanted the prophet.

There's so many things that have to be done *right now* and no one but an apocalypse -starting, alleged-serial killing, former-demon-blood drinking, almost human to do it.

It's kind of a downer.

Gordon finds Dean in Purgatory but, instead of attacking him, bides his time til Sam gets Dean out and slips through the door after him. After all, Sam is still a monster and Gordon hasn't forgotten his mission.

Purgatory, Avengers style. When Dean arrives in Purgatory, it inspires some of the monsters they killed to form a team to go after him. Possible monsters would be the shapeshifter from Skin, Luthor from Dead Man's Blood, Any of the God's they have run into, Scarecrow, the Christmas One's or the one from Fallen Idols,The Siren, Ghoul!Adam, Gordon or really anyone else you can think of, so long as they are united by their hatred for the Winchesters. If they manage to follow Dean back to Sam, that would be awesome!

Sam is actually a really awesome, capable hunter. He's desperate to get his brother and the angel out of Purgatory, but he keeps running across Leviathans that need killing, innocent bystanders that need rescuing, and having to stop whatever he's really trying to do in order to take care of that instead. So he keeps being awesome and capable and the more he does, the guiltier he feels, as it seems like he's getting farther and farther away from his brother. As if he's choosing the world over his brother. Even though Dean would tell him to rescue the girl and kill the monster...he just feels really terrible about it.

Here's a scary thought. Cas didn't heal Sam. He just transferred the worst of Sam's crazy to himself. What if Cas being in a different realm from Sam means the crazy bounces back to Sam's noggin? So, alone in the lab, worried about Dean even being alive, Sam suddenly hears familiar devilish laughter.

I'd love to see Sam reverting back to his six months after Mystery Spot personality because once again, he is alone and on a mission. OCD-ish habits, StoneCold!Sam, relentless and channeling his grief into anger and the job.

Return and Trying to Fix Sam

Cas and Dean escape Purgatory somehow, not too much worse for wear. Not a terribly long time has passed, months, maybe a year, but time passed the same on both sides. Dean's immediatly frantic trying to find Sam because he knows what happens when Sam's on his own (killed, demon blood addicted, vengeful, soulless, etc...)

Dean dreads finding that his brother's gone off the wagon again or that he's gone on some sort of revenge rampage (cause Dean knows through Cas that Sam's powers are still there, just dormant). But what he finds is so much worse. A broken little brother, more destroyed than even Lucifer had managed. Thin, pale, barely functioning. With no one left and nothing left worth getting revenge on, Sam had nothing to fight for and just gave up.

Dean (and Cas) have to try and fix him.

Also, Cas is mostly fixed. Angel crazy seems to equal something that seems more like enlightenment anyway.

After searching and searching and only running into dead ends is his search to save Dean and Cas, the switch in Sam finally flips.

He's not evil, just powerful, so powerful. He tears open Purgatory all on his own and pulls them both out, only them, nothing else escapes. Dean's thrilled for about a second before he realizes what Sam's done. Forget the Lucifer damage, Sam's powers, now unable to be shut off again, have destroyed his mind. Taken everything down to a single goal, get Cas and Dean, save Dean.

Dean and Cas reform their mismashed family, supporting Sam and keeping him safe.

Powerful!Insane!Sam does what he has to to rip open Purgatory and get Dean and Cas back. At first they're, of course, horrified that Sam's done this to himself, but all Sam will do is cry and repeat Dean's name when his brother shakes him angrily.

Sam's all the monster he was ever meant to be with none of the malevolence or intent.

Dean comes back from purgatory to Sam suddenly gone. He can't find him anywhere and no one appears to be talking. It takes trapping the king of hell himself for Crowley to finally admit what he did with Sam (Up to author, surprise me)
